So the Vegas over/under for the Lions total victories in 2004-2005 is 6.5. The over on that line seems like a great bet to me. With the huge off-season improvements the Lions have made I truly think this team is a .500 team which should compete for a playoff spot.
If anyone is interested the Lions are 75-1 odds to win the NFC and 100-1 odds to win the Super Bowl.

I know we have already talked about Mikey (hey, Mikey likes it) and his movie, but I felt that this article does a great job of capturing the deceptions and half-truths from the movie. If you are going to watch the movie I simply request that you expose yourself to all view points and read this article as well. Likewise, if someone has a pirated version of the movie (so I can watch it without making Mike richer) that I can watch I would be very appreciative.
In a move that I'm finally happy to see, someone is finally countering al-Zarqawi. As CNN.com reports, a unknown militant group who call themselves the Rescue Group have threatened al-Zarqawi and his followers if they don't leave Iraq (article)
I'm finally happy to see someone doing this. While it's not necesarrily the most democratic way to settle the countru, it's obvious that at least some people realize that bringing terror against foreigners would not help anyone in Iraq.
More appropriately, it's about time he got a taste of his own medicine.
